# Plans and credits (/account/plans-and-credits)

Credits are what your agent runs on. Drafting, research, image and video generation, Playbook runs, and automations all use credits. Writing and publishing yourself doesn't.

Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance. For plans, prices, and limits, see [paragraph.com/pricing](https://paragraph.com/pricing).

## Manage your plan [#manage-your-plan]

Open **Settings → Billing** to see your plan and this cycle's usage, change plans, or manage payment. On a paid plan, Billing shows two dates:

* **Renews** is when you're next charged. With annual billing, that can be up to a year away.
* **Credits reset** is when your monthly allowance refills. That happens every month, whichever billing period you're on.

## Email allowance [#email-allowance]

Each plan includes a number of newsletter emails a month. One email is one subscriber receiving one send, so a newsletter to 2,000 subscribers uses 2,000. Newsletters, scheduled emails, and emails sent through the API all count, across every publication in the workspace. The allowance resets with your credits.

There's no cap on how many readers can subscribe. If an email would go to more people than you have emails left, Paragraph doesn't send it at all, so no one gets half a newsletter. You'll see how many it needs and how many are left before you send, and you can upgrade or wait for the reset.

## Earlier plans and prices [#earlier-plans-and-prices]

Growth and Scale are now called Launch and Team. If you subscribed before the October 2026 price change, you keep the price you signed up at until you change your plan or billing period, and Billing shows what you actually pay.

Starter is no longer offered. If you're on it, you keep it and everything it includes, and you can still switch between monthly and annual billing.

Workspaces created before October 10, 2026 also keep the limits they started with: how many subscribers each email reaches, team members, and connected tools. That holds on any plan they move to, so a workspace from before then that moves to Team still has unlimited team members.

Workspaces created before October 21, 2026 don't have a monthly email allowance. Their plan sets how many subscribers each email reaches instead, starting with the ones they've had longest, and anyone past that starts receiving after an upgrade.

On Free, a Changelog runs only when you start it, and automatic runs need a paid plan. New workspaces get two Changelog runs on Free. Redoing a run (**Regenerate** on a run, or **Draft again** on an idea) doesn't use one. After those two, new runs need a paid plan too, and the packages you already have stay yours to review and publish. Workspaces created before mid-October 2026 can start as many runs as they like.

## Connection bonus [#connection-bonus]

Connecting X or LinkedIn for the first time adds 300 one-time credits per service to your current cycle. The bonus doesn't roll over, and reconnecting doesn't add it again.
