X Articles
Publish a long-form Article on X from Paragraph, review it before it goes out, and know which formatting carries over.
An X Article is X's long-form surface: a title and a full body on its own page, instead of a chain of 280-character posts. Your agent can draft one from a post you've written, or from scratch, and publish it to your connected X account once you approve.
When an Article beats a thread
An Article is the better shape when:
- The piece is one sustained argument someone reads top to bottom.
- You have more than roughly eight tweets' worth of material.
- The writing needs headings, lists, or code to make sense.
A thread is still the better shape when each beat stands on its own, when you're writing to earn replies and quote posts, or when the connected account doesn't have X Premium. If you're torn, a thread is the safer default.
You need X Premium
Publishing Articles is an X Premium feature on the connected account. Paragraph can't check that ahead of time, so the publish attempt is where you find out.
If the account can't publish Articles, the attempt fails cleanly. Nothing goes out, and nothing half-finished is left behind on X. Your agent will tell you plainly and offer to post the piece as a thread instead.

Ask your agent for one
Ask in chat:
- "Turn my latest post into an X Article."
- "Write an X Article about what I learned running a paid newsletter for a year."
You review it before it publishes
The draft arrives as a suggestion and opens in the panel on the right, with the title and the markdown body both editable. Rewrite anything you want, then approve.
The Article is also saved to your Content list, under Socials, so you can find it later whether or not you act on the suggestion. Dismissing the suggestion doesn't throw the writing away.
Nothing reaches X until you approve it. What you approved is what publishes, word for word, with no model in the loop at that step. See Approvals.
What formatting carries over
These carry over to X:
- Headings, at two levels. X Articles have no third level, so a deeper heading publishes as a second-level one
- Bold, italic, and strikethrough
- Code blocks, with their language
- Tables
- Ordered and unordered lists
- Blockquotes
- Horizontal rules
- Links
- Images, both inline and the cover
These aren't supported today, and they're dropped on the way to X:
- Video and GIFs
- Embedded Posts
- Raw HTML
- Footnotes
Inline code and nested list indentation flatten to plain text, so put code that matters in a code block.
The cover image is what shows on the timeline card, which is the first thing most readers see. A piece with a natural lead image is worth giving one.
Link to the Paragraph version of the piece from the body. Links in an Article get attribution automatically, so the clicks show up in Analytics.
Scheduling works like it does for a tweet
You can schedule an Article for a specific time instead of publishing it now. The version you approved publishes at that moment, unchanged, with no second review.
Publishing can't be undone from Paragraph
Once an Article is live, Paragraph can't edit it or take it down. X doesn't offer an edit for Articles, and we don't offer a delete. If you need to remove one, delete it on X.
That makes the review step the one that matters. Read the draft before you approve it.
