Distribute
Distribution
Turn each piece of content into X posts, LinkedIn posts, X Articles, video, and emails, then schedule them on the Calendar.
Your agent drafts each channel's version of your content for you. You review it, and nothing goes out until you approve it.
Start with a Playbook
The easiest way to distribute is a Playbook. Each run turns one source into a set of content, depending on what the Playbook is set to make:
- An article for your website and subscribers.
- X posts, including threads.
- LinkedIn posts.
- An X Article, X's long-form format, when it's turned on.
- A video, when the Playbook makes one.
Open the run to review and edit each piece. Your agent suggests a time for each one, and you approve them on the run's page or the Calendar. The Changelog Playbook is the most common place to start.
Find drafts in Content
Everything your agent drafts also lives in Content, grouped by tab:
- All groups each article with the X posts, LinkedIn posts, X Article, email, and video made from it, so you can see what a piece has turned into and what's still missing.
- Socials lists every X and LinkedIn draft, including ones you asked for in chat. Filter by Drafts, Published, or Archived.
- Emails lists standalone emails. Filter by Published or Archived.
Open any piece to edit it. A scheduled piece is read-only, since those exact words are what goes out. Unschedule it on the Calendar to edit it.
Create a social post
To start one from scratch, choose Create new… in the sidebar, then X post or LinkedIn post. A chat opens where your agent asks what it should be about, then drafts it for your review.
You can also ask in chat:
- "Turn our latest article into an X thread."
- "Write a LinkedIn post about this week's release."
- "Draft three X posts from the customer story we published Tuesday."
To make it recurring, set up an automation.
X posts and threads
A thread opens as one card per X post, laid out the way it will look on X. Edit, add, or remove posts, and watch each card's count against X's 280-character limit. The posts go out in order, each replying to the one before it.
Add image attaches up to four images to the first post. When an X post comes from one of your articles, the article's cover is attached already, unless the post links the article and its preview card shows the cover anyway.
Links to an unpublished article switch to its live URL once it's published.
LinkedIn posts
A LinkedIn post made from an article goes out with the article's cover as its image. The article's link goes in the first comment instead of the post, because LinkedIn shows posts with links to fewer people. The comment comes from the same account as the post, and only once the article is published. You can see both in the draft before you publish, and remove the cover there.
Which account posts
Connect X and LinkedIn in Connections. Everyone on your team can connect their own accounts, and each draft shows which account it goes out as. A post can't be approved until its account is connected. Posting to X and LinkedIn is included on every plan.
Emails go to your subscribers. See Newsletters.
Archive what you're done with
Archive puts a piece away from your working lists without deleting it. Find it under the Archived filter on its tab, where Restore brings it back. A piece that already went out stays marked Published, and a scheduled piece can't be archived until you unschedule it.
