Playbooks
Changelog
Turn what your team merges on GitHub into articles, social posts, and video.
A Changelog is a Playbook that reads your GitHub repositories and drafts an article, X and LinkedIn posts, and a short video about what you shipped. It can also write an X Article. Nothing publishes until you approve it.
Set one up during onboarding or from Playbooks in the sidebar. Public repositories work without connecting GitHub. For a private one, choose Connect GitHub.
Start a run
On the Changelog's overview, type what you want to announce and choose Draft. Leave it empty and choose Pick for me to let the Changelog choose from what merged since the last run. You can also start from one of your Ideas.
Needs you lists anything waiting on you, and Past runs lists every run. To run on a schedule, turn on Run automatically in the clock beside Run now.
Review a run
A run's page lists every piece it makes, grouped by day, with a status for each. Pieces appear as they're written, so you can start reading the article while the posts are still drafting. Pick a piece to edit it, change its account or time, or Skip it. Why now explains which story the run picked and why.
Approve and publish
Choose Approve and schedule to book every ready piece at its suggested time, or Publish all now to send them right away. You can still move, skip, or publish any piece on its own. X and LinkedIn pieces wait until you connect those accounts. See Calendar.
If a step fails, Retry step runs just that step again.
Settings
Open the gear on the Changelog to change:
- What it makes. The article is always included. Switch social posts, X Article, and video on or off. X Article is on for the Changelog you set up during onboarding and off for one you add from Playbooks.
- Repositories. Choose which repositories it reads. If one is missing, choose Manage GitHub access.
- Audience. New customers (default), existing customers, developers, or let the agent decide.
- Additional context. Product names, a call to action, or words to avoid.
How it works
The Changelog reads what merged in your repositories and groups related changes into ideas. Each run picks the story most worth telling that it hasn't covered yet, so a quiet week may end without a draft. It then reads the code behind that story, checks that it's actually available, and writes in your saved voice. Its access to GitHub is read-only.
